It’s been a while, here’s what I’ve been working on...

The Becoming Letter

A weekly note on identity, success, and becoming more fully yourself.

Hi Reader,

It’s been a while since I’ve connected with my old network.

Some of you have known me through different chapters of my work and life. And over the past few years, my own work has evolved in ways I couldn't have fully predicted.

After 17 years of working with high-achieving leaders, and living through my own experience of building success that sometimes required far too much of me, I began noticing a pattern I couldn't unsee.

So many capable, successful people weren't struggling because they needed more discipline, ambition, or strategy.

They had simply outgrown the version of themselves that built their success.

That realization became the foundation of the work I'm doing now: The Path of Becoming™ and Wealth With Wellbeing™.

And it led me here. Each Sunday, I'll be sharing The Becoming Letter, a weekly note about the patterns beneath our success and what it means to become more fully ourselves.

If these conversations speak to where you are now, I'd love to keep writing to you, you can confirm below.

Becoming Conversation of the Week

Every week, I leave at least one conversation thinking: "There it is again."

Not because two people have the same story, they don't. But because beneath the circumstances, the same human patterns keep appearing.

This week, one conversation reminded me that sometimes the thing standing between us and our next chapter isn't knowledge or strategy. It's permission.

This week I spoke with a woman who has spent years building a successful career. She's the primary provider for her family. She's raising two young children. She's built a life around responsibility.

As we talked about where she is today, she shared something almost quietly, as if she wasn't sure it deserved to be spoken out loud.

"I've always wanted to write children's books."

It wasn't a new dream, it had been there for years. What was new was saying it out loud.

As we explored it together, the conversation changed. Not because we built a five-year plan or solved every obstacle.

But, because once the dream had language, it became something she could begin to imagine.

By the end of our conversation, she wasn't asking if she could write.

She was brainstorming ideas.

This Week's Pattern

I've started noticing a pattern.

Many high-capacity women don't need another strategy. They don't need more productivity. They don't even need more confidence. They already know what's calling them.

What they often need is a conversation where it's safe to acknowledge it.

Sometimes we spend years waiting for certainty. But certainty rarely comes first.

Permission does.

The permission to speak the idea. The permission to imagine it. The permission to take one small step before everything is figured out.

I've come to believe that permission precedes creation.

A Thought to Carry With You

I've come to believe that permission precedes creation, not because permission gives us certainty but because permission gives us language.
The moment we finally say, "I've always wanted to..." something changes. The dream moves from imagination to possibility.
You don't have to know exactly how you'll get there. You don't have to have every answer. You simply have to be willing to acknowledge what's already true.
This week, ask yourself: What have I been quietly waiting for permission to admit to myself?
You may discover that the next chapter of your life doesn't begin with a plan.
It begins with a sentence.

Until next week,

Ky
